Possible Interaction: Tyrosine and Vasoconstrictor Agents

Research Papers that Mention the Interaction

In rat aorta vascular smooth-muscle cells (VSMC), vasoconstrictors , angiotension II (AII), and alpha-thrombin (alpha-thr), as well as platelet-derived growth factor beta beta (PDGF) stimulated the tyrosine phosphorylation and activation of MAP kinase in a time- and concentration-dependent manner.

Also, enhanced tyrosine phosphorylation of FAK is observed in these cells upon stimulation with the vasoconstrictor angiotensin II.

These results demonstrate that the vasoconstrictors stimulate the tyrosine phosphorylation of several proteins in vascular smooth muscle cells and suggest that the tyrosine phosphorylation reactions are the events distal to the activation of protein kinase C and Ca2+ mobilization in the intracellular signalling pathways of the vasoconstrictors.
