Possible Interaction: Pergolide and Yohimbine

supplement:

Yohimbine

Research Papers that Mention the Interaction

Pergolide elicited a potent vasopressor response in pithed rats that was highly sensitive to antagonism by the selective alpha 2-adrenoceptor antagonist, yohimbine , and resistant to blockade by the selective alpha 1-adrenoceptor antagonist, prazosin, suggesting that pergolide selectively activates postsynaptic vascular alpha 2-adrenoceptors.
Pharmacology  •  1987  |  View Paper
The inhibitory actions of EPI, TL-99, and pergolide were blocked by the α2-adrenergic receptor antagonist yohimbine , whereas the DA receptor antagonist, sulpiride, had no effect, suggesting an action initiated at α2-adrenergic receptors.
Diabetes  •  1984  |  View Paper
Pretreatment with sulpiride but not with yohimbine completely antagonized the inhibitory effect of pergolide.

However, yohimbine (0.4 mg/kg) antagonized the cardiovascular effects of clonidine and reduced the bradycardia produced by pergolide.
