Research Papers that Mention the Interaction

However, when M was injected to rats that had received sodium salicylate after each training trial for 7 days, these rats spent less time in target quadrant as compared to M and saline groups.
It is concluded that chronic sodium salicylate induces tolerance to anti-nociceptive effects of M and vice versa.
When M was injected to sodium salicylate-tolerant rats, a weakened anti-nociceptive effect was seen, indicating cross-tolerance to M. Acute treatment with M also increased TF latency.

Exposure to salicylate in the diet was associated with an increase in expression of dMRP and with decreases of MET and OATP.

In the presence of salicylate (1.5 × 10 −2 M ), the incorporation of both labeled substrates was less for the mucopolysaccharide than for the glycopeptide fraction; also labeling of galactosamine was largely inhibited in both fractions.

Salicylic acid and sodium hydrosulfide pretreatments reduced methionine , arginine and proline accumulation and increased glycine betaine and nitric oxide contents and regulated the expression of ZmACS6 and ZmSAMD genes (genes participating in methionine metabolism) under lead stress.

SA application at 0.5 mM increased methionine (Met) and GB accumulation in plants concomitant with the suppression of ethylene formation by inhibiting 1-aminocyclopropane carboxylic acid synthase (ACS) activity more conspicuously under salt stress than no stress.
These results suggest that SA induces GB accumulation through increased Met and suppresses ethylene formation under salt stress and enhances antioxidant system resulting in alleviation of adverse effects of salt stress on photosynthesis and growth.
