Research Papers that Mention the Interaction

In general N'-(N-alkylglycyl)-derivatives of vancomycin and eremomycin were more active than the corresponding N'-aminoacylated derivatives of these antibiotics containing other than glycin amino acids ( L-Lys , L-Met, L-Orn, L- and D-Ala) and also L- and D-Phe or benzyl-O-L-Tyr.

Antibiotics that inhibit the biosynthesis of the cell wall, such as vancomycin , penicillin, d-cycloserine, and bacitracin, stimulate the incorporation of lysine into lipids that are extractable with n-butanol-6 M pyridinium acetate.
Vancomycin and penicillin stimulate the incorporation of lysine into both LPG and the minor lipid fractions, whereas treatment with d-cycloserine results in an increase only in LPG.
