Research Papers that Mention the Interaction

Quercetin, curcumin, and resveratrol have additive effect with gemcitabine to T24‐GCB cells.

Combination of RSV and GEM significantly increased cell death and apoptosis of PaCa cells in vitro and inhibited tumor growth in vivo in comparison with RSV or GEM alone treatment.
The co-administration of RSV and GEM significantly lowered expression of VEGF-B and increased phosphorylation level of GSK3β at Ser9 when compared to RSV alone treatment either in vitro or in vivo.

Resveratrol has been reported to overcome the resistance induced by gemcitabine.

Both the markers of proliferation index Ki‐67 and the micro vessel density CD31 were significantly downregulated in tumor tissue by the combination of gemcitabine and resveratrol (p < 0.001 vs. control; p < 0.01 vs. gemcitabine).
In an orthotopic model of human PaCa, we found that resveratrol significantly suppressed the growth of the tumor (p < 0.001) and this effect was further enhanced by gemcitabine (p < 0.001).
Overall our results demonstrate that resveratrol can potentiate the effects of gemcitabine through suppression of markers of proliferation, invasion, angiogenesis and metastasis.

Taken together, these findings demonstrate that resveratrol could increase the sensitivity of pancreatic cancer cells to gemcitabine by inhibiting YAP expression.
YAP silencing by siRNA or resveratrol enhanced the sensitivity of gemcitabine in pancreatic cancer cells.

Co-treatment of RSVL and GEM led to more tumor growth suppression than treatment of GEM alone.
Here, we uncovered the molecular mechanism by which RSVL enhances the anticancer effect of GEM against lung cancer cells both in vitro and in vivo.
RSVL promoted tumor microvessel growth via ENG and ERK and enhanced the anticancer efficacy of GEM.
The synergistic anticancer effect of gemcitabine (GEM) and resveratrol (RSVL) has been noted in certain cancer types.

c) Live/Dead assay results indicated that resveratrol (Res, 10 uM) potentiates gemcitabine (Gem, 100 nM)-induced cytotoxicity.
