Possible Interaction: Delphinidin and Anthocyanidins

supplement:

Delphinidin

supplement:

Anthocyanidins

Research Papers that Mention the Interaction

In vivo, both the native mixture of anthocyanidins from bilberry (0.5mg/mouse) and the most potent anthocyanidin, delphinidin (1.5mg/mouse) significantly inhibited the growth of H1299 xenografts in nude miceby ≈60%.
Notably, the effective dose of delphinidin in the anthocyanidin mixture was 8-fold lower than delphinidin alone, further emphasizing synergism.

Cyanidin and delphinidin significantly inhibited cell growth at concentrations of >or=1 microM. Anthocyanidins suppressed cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) mRNAs in TPA-stimulated HT-29 cells.

Catalytic activities of CYP2C9, CYP2A6, CYP2B6, and CYP3A4 enzymes were inhibited by all anthocyanidins to different extents (e.g., delphinidin inhibits CYP3A4 by >90% at 100 μM with IC50 = 32 μM).
