supplement:

Glutathione

Research Papers that Mention the Interaction

Cimetidine pretreatment also significantly reduced the rate of hepatic glutathione depletion.
The Journal of clinical investigation  •  1984  |  View Paper
NO was significantly decreased, while renal glutathione and cytochrome p450 were significantly increased in groups treated with l-carnitine or cimetidine as compared to group II.
Injury  •  2015  |  View Paper
As compared to the cimetidine group, pre‐treatment using either GSH or NAC with Cimetidine produced a marked decrease in lidocaine levels (37 ± 27 and 63 ± 28 ng/mL, respectively) and no modification of MEGX levels (155 ± 12 and 165 ± 22 ng/mL, respectively).
These results suggest that GSH and NAC might accelerate the lidocaine metabolism while counteracting the inhibitory effect of Cimetidine.
Fundamental & clinical pharmacology  •  1998  |  View Paper
Also the glutathione concentration was lower in cimetidine treated cells [15.2 versus 15.9 nmol/10(6) cells] (P < 0.05).
Pharmacology & toxicology  •  1993  |  View Paper
Cimetidine decreased the rate of hepatic glutathione depletion and acetaminophen covalent binding in vivo in a dose-dependent manner whereas only a high dose of N-acetylcysteine decreased covalent binding.
