Possible Interaction: Chlorpromazine and Polypeptides

Research Papers that Mention the Interaction

Although CPZ is one of the most potent known inhibitors of CS, its use as a photolabel will require a homogeneous CS complex or establishment of conditions that protect against the interaction of CPZ with specific binding sites located on various polypeptide components of the CS complex.

Both Ca(2+)-stimulated and Ca(2+)- and calmodulin-stimulated phosphorylations of membrane polypeptides were inhibited by chlorpromazine , a calmodulin antagonist.
The calmodulin antagonists chlorpromazine and trifluoperazine inhibited the Ca(2+)-promoted phosphorylation of soluble polypeptides.
