We have shown for the first time that preincubation of the cells with the cyclooxygenase inhibitors, indomethacin and aspirin, or lipoxygenase inhibitors, nordihydroguaiaretic acid, caffeic acid and baicalein, almost completely prevents the intracellular Ca2+ concentration increase induced by glutoxim or molixan.
