Licofelone, a dual COX/5-LOX inhibitor, induces apoptosis in HCA-7 colon cancer cells through the mitochondrial pathway independently from its ability to affect the arachidonic acid cascade.“ Licofelone completely prevented platelet aggregation induced in platelet-rich plasma by threshold aggregating concentrations of arachidonic acid (0.87+/-0.14 mM) at threshold inhibitory concentrations of 0.75+/-0.35 microM (n=5).”
