Research Papers that Mention the Interaction

The 5-HT1B receptor agonist CP 94253 (1.25-5 mg/kg) also inhibited the amphetamine-seeking behavior induced by amphetamine (1.5 mg/kg) but not by the cue combined with the threshold dose of amphetamine.

On the other hand, CP 94253 administered in doses of 2.5 or 5 mg/kg attenuated amphetamine self-administration, yet the effect of 2.5 mg/kg of the agonist was fairly weak and significant only in case of a higher unit dose of the psychostimulant.
The inhibitory effect of CP 94253 administered in a dose of 5mg/kg on the self-administration of amphetamine injected in a unit dose of 0.06 mg/kg/infusion was significantly reduced by SB 216641 administrated in a dose of 7.5 mg/kg.
